The Role

Our Behaviour Support Practitioners conduct positive behaviour support work for people living with a disability who experience challenges regulating their emotions. To become a practitioner with JMS Allied Services you will have an excellent understanding of NQSC’s positive behaviour support framework, restrictive practices, advocating for the rights of people with a disability, writing positive behaviour support plans, and evaluating their efficacy via data collection and statistical analysis. Practitioners who have been deemed suitable by the NQSC are encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements
NQSC Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or qualifications and ability to do so
Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education or other relevant field
Current driver’s license
NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one)
COVID-19 Vaccination certificate (Required doses in accordance with Government Health Advice)
Working with Children Check and Police Check clearance
Infection Control Training (available free online)
100 points of ID
NDIS Workers Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’

Highly Desirable
Lived experience
Post Graduate Degree in relevant field
AHPRA or MAPS Registration
