Jodie is an AHPRA registered nurse specialising in mental health. She has several years’ experience working within NSW Department of Health’s Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit for people experiencing an acute decline in their mental health. She has clinical expertise in behavioural support and management, minimising restrictive practices and identification of antecedent behavioural triggers. Jodie has lived experience of supporting patients in the acute phases of disorders including Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality, Bi-Polar, Anorexia, Bulimia, and Chronic Depression. She has supported many patients through periods of suicidal ideation and used de-escalation to prevent individuals from attempting self-harm.
